The Philippine Army’s 25th Infantry “Fireball” Battalion (25IB) held a 5-day Digital Media Training for its enlisted personnel on May 8-12, 2023 at Camp Kalaw, Monkayo, Davao De Oro.
21 participants from the line companies: Alpha, Delta, Charlie, and Delta including the Headquarters Company and 2 representatives form the 1001st Infantry “Pag-asa” Brigade (1001Bde), were trained in Combat Photography, Image Enhancement, and Video Editing.
During the closing program, Col. Gerry M. Besana, 1001Bde Deputy Commander said: “It is imperative that we remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital technology. As public servants, it is our responsibility to stay informed and knowledgeable in order to capably navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape and utilize this to effectively send the message of peace for progress.”
“It is important that we develop and enhance our Fireball Troopers’ digital media literacy skills. This will ensure that we remain up-to-date with the modern digital revolution and can effectively utilize various digital media platforms to sustain the gains of our peacebuilding efforts. By equipping our team with the necessary digital skills, we can maximize our impact and reach a wider audience to stay ahead of the curve and continue making a positive impact in our community,” 25IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Michael T. Aquino said.
